Honda teased us with a concept of the racy CBR250RR at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, but the company has made good on that promise with the introduction of the production model in Indonesia, 20 years after it ceased production on the 90s favorite.

A version for the Japanese market is promised, but the absence of a mention of the U.S. suggests that the states will be getting a version with 300cc displacement or greater. The bike features three settings for the electronic throttle system, letting riders adjust the bike to suit the situation.

Honda says the all-new 250cc parallel twin-cylinder engine produces “class-leading” power, and our friends over at Cycle World magazine say that this is actually 38 horsepower moving 340 lbs. of sport bike.

Dual LED headlights contribute to a chiseled profile, like that of Honda’s MotoGP machines, and the inverted fork and aluminum swingarm support that style with capability. Anti-lock braking is available for safety, and the petite road-ripper features 310 mm front and 240 mm brake rotors for stopping power.

It’s available in three different color schemes in Indonesia. Who cares what colors are available for the U.S., just so long as it comes here.
