The priciest new Aston Martin to date costs way more than the forthcoming, $3.25 million Valkyrie hybrid hypercar, and it’s a revamp of one of the rarest racers ever made by the storied British automaker.

Only 19 examples of the original DB4 GT Zagato were produced between 1960 and 1963, but Aston is making 19 more under their massively successful “Continuation” series—the same program that’s bringing back James Bond’s spy-spec DB5 from Goldfinger.

The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation has the same body as the original grand tourer finished in Rossa Maja red paint. Power from a 4.7 liter, 390-horsepower straight-six is fed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The interior gets Obsidian Black leather, matching Black Wilton carpets and carbon fiber race seats. A full FIA-approved roll cage also comes standard—a good thing since the car will make its public debut at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance event.

The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation took 4,500 hours to craft by hand, which could help explain its record-setting price: $7,633,170. If you’re willing to drop that insane amount of cash, expect to get yours later this year.
