Given all the stories trickling out about skeevy guys creeping on women at the gym, it’s understandable that some women would welcome a gym without men, but guys aren’t so happy about it.

Heather Huesman, a 23-year-old server who goes to an all-women’s gym.

Heather shared her workout experience on TikTok and it quickly went viral.

The video shows Heather’s time at Blush Fitness, which is in Overland Park, Kansas. It seems like Blush Fitness really takes the women-only workout concept to the next level.

First thing you notice? The windows are tinted so people can’t watch you workout, which is always so weird.

Women have access to the gym via a key fob, which gives them 24/7 availability.

There are free menstrual products for use in the restroom.

And when men will be in the building, you get a head’s up!

Heather chatted with BuzzFeed and said:

“I decided to share my experience because ever since the first time I went into Blush, I felt a sense of relief. It felt like a breath of fresh air walking into a gym with no men!”

“I definitely feel safer in an all-women’s gym. I personally like to wear tight clothing because it is easier to work out in, and I don’t have to worry about men taking photos of me without my permission, or worry about men making me feel uncomfortable while I’m there. There are also not so many people there that all the racks are being taken up. The place is very clean and has great energy and vibes to it!”

Comments on Heather’s TikTok show that a lot of people feel the same way!

One user wrote “this is everything I can dream of for my women’s only gym” and another noted that she was “tired of having old men coming in and ‘using’ equipment and just sitting there with sunglasses and staring.”

A guy chimed in that “Women really need a safe space.”

But others (who are all men) are annoyed that the gym is “segregated.”

“aint we stop segregation like 60 years ago,” wrote one truly budding intellect.

“This doesn’t sound like equality,” said another.

Heather told Buzzfeed that the segregation hot-take was pretty ridiculous. Which it is.

“I don’t think the gym is segregation at all. I honestly love the idea of an all-men’s gym as well. I think if someone is mad that there’s an all-women’s gym, it’s because they want women [in their co-ed gym] for a reason. … Whatever makes people feel comfortable working out at a gym is what should be done. Everyone is there for a reason and needs to start somewhere!”
