Nintendo and Moschino Created a ‘Super Moschino’ Clothing Line

I’ve seen a few video game inspired clothing lines over the years, and if I’m being perfectly honest, they were all pretty terrible. As much as I wanted to like the Deus Ex line of clothing, for example, it was just too… serious. I don’t think you can put on a Deus Ex trench-coat and go about your day with a straight face.

So what’s the solution?

This new “fashion line” of Super Mario clothing is the perfect compromise. It works because it’s silly and knows it.

Moschino is delighted to announce the launch of the “Super Moschino” project, conceived in partnership with Nintendo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of among their most popular and cherished characters: Mario from the Super Mario Bros. series.

The collection includes printed t-shirts and knitted sweatshirts, identified by the graphic of the video games hero, in addition to a series of vibrant bags and devices in leather, varying from knapsacks to bucket bags, and from wallets to belts – all individualized with photos of Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars and mushrooms that appear during Mario’s numerous experiences.

The “Super Moschino” collection will be offered from December 5th on Moschino.com, at Moschino’s monobrand shops in Milan, Rome, Paris, New York and Los Angeles, and at the world’s most prestigious multibrand stores.

Believe me, no one will think you’re trying to wear these clothes in a serious manner. They’re just some good fun for those nights when you want to let your inner hipster shine.
