Potterheads everywhere are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (later to become the "Sorcerer's Stone" for American audiences, of course), and Facebook is getting in on the excitement. The social network introduced a special new easter egg for those inclined to post about the magical series.

As Mashable noticed, if users post or comment on the name of any of the four Hogwarts houses — Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff — on Facebook, the text will be displayed in the color of the chosen house (red, green, blue, or yellow, respectively), along with a flurry of sparks, lightning bolts, and general magic. Further proof your cursor is an actual magic wand: Clicking on any of the words yields even more sparks and explosions. The trick also works if you type in the words Harry Potter — and it's colored in red to mark Harry's own house of Gryffindor.

Fans are still just as obsessed with the series as they have been since 1997, when the first book was released. Now, if you want to immerse yourself fully in the wizarding world, you can use Instagram-worthy wizard wand makeup brushes, star in the newest series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, own Harry Potter-themed jewelry, and even work the most magical of jobs at a Harry Potter museum exhibit.

Or for now, you can just post something cool on Facebook.
