The former Miss Kentucky accused of sending nude photos to a teenager admitted she did so in court Tuesday, WOWK-TV reports. Ramsey Bearse, 29, who was a middle school teacher in West Virginia at the time, said she shouldn't have been talking to a 15-year-old former student on Snapchat, but also said she believed she was sending a lewd photo to her husband when she accidentally sent it to the student, who then asked for more. "I was afraid to not appease him," she said in court. Even so, "Since I am the adult, and he was just a teenager, it is my fault, and I accept full blame for the situation. So that's how I'm guilty of this crime. I messed up big-time," she added, per CBS News.

Authorities say she and the teen exchanged photos between August and October of last year; the student's parent found the photos of Bearse on his phone and she was arrested last December. She was originally charged with four counts of sending obscene material to a minor, per WV Metro News. She ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of possessing material depicting minors in sexually explicit conduct and faces up to two years in prison, 50 years of probation, and a permanent spot on the sex offender registry when she's sentenced Jan. 17. She's currently free on bond. She lost her teaching job after her arrest. (More sex offenders stories.)
