Kim Kardashian Heads to the White House to Discuss Prison Reform With Donald Trump

Kim Kardashian headed to Washington DC this week to discuss prison reform with officials, including senior adviser Jared Kushner and President Donald Trump himself. On Wednesday, Kim was photographed arriving at the White House with attorney Shawn Chapman Holley in a black pantsuit, which she paired with bright yellow pumps. While it wasn't originally clear if Kim would meet with the president, he tweeted out a photo of them in the Oval Office, writing, "Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing." Kim's visit was expected to include a conversation about the possibility of a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother who has been in prison for over 20 years on a nonviolent drug-related offense.

Kim has been advocating for Alice's clemency since late last year, and her White House visit happened to fall on Alice's birthday. Earlier in the day, Kim tweeted a message to Alice, saying, "Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you."
