Sex Offender Mary Kay Letourneau Is Now Looking for a Fresh Start Following Her Divorce, Source Claims She’s on Dating Apps and Websites

Mary Kay Letourneau, who became infamous for seducing her now ex-husband, Vili Fualaau, at the age of 12 while he was one of her sixth-grade students, is dating again. According to People, now that Letourneau and Fualaau’s divorce has become final, the former teacher is dating again.

As a source told the magazine, Letourneau has been using dating websites, as well as multiple dating apps, in order to find a new partner. Particularly, the source explained, a partner her own age.

The 58-year-old and Fualaau welcomed two children into the world before he turned 15 years old and before she was ultimately sentenced to more than seven years in prison for child rape. Still, regardless of spending years behind bars, Letourneau and Fualaau continued their relationship until 2017 when they split up and Fualaau filed for a divorce.

“She’s on at least one dating site that I know of but she also has been on the apps,” a source told People.” She’s just casually looking around to see if there’s anyone. She’s not someone who does well by herself.”

The source continued that Letourneau has already found herself interested in an age-appropriate man. “She’s been talking to a few guys, and she’s interested in someone who is age-appropriate. She knows that her best shot at happiness is someone who is close to her age.”

Nonetheless, although she is making plans for the future, the source says she is concerned about her future. “She’s had a lot of time to reflect on mistakes she’s made, choices that led to problems. She’s at that age where she thinks about her past and wonders what her future will look like. It’s very uncertain.”

“Whenever you date someone, you bring a lot of baggage,” the source says. “And she has more baggage than most women. It’s going to be hard for her to find someone. But she gets it: she isn’t looking for sympathy. She knows that a lot of her issues have been self-inflicted. She’s got times where she feels like she’s getting what she deserves. But at this point, she just wants to be happy for the rest of her life.”
