Place the butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and mix on medium speed just until combined. With the mixer on low, add the vanilla.
Sift the flour and salt together and, with the mixer on low, slowly add to the butter mixture, mixing until it almost comes together in a ball. Turn the dough out on a board. Lightly pat two-thirds of the dough evenly on the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan and about 1/4-inch up the sides. Spread with the jam, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Mix the granola into the remaining dough with your hands. Break the dough into small bits and distribute it on top of the jam, covering most of the surface. Sprinkle the almonds on top. Bake the bars for 45 minutes, until lightly browned.
Cool completely and cut into 9 or 12 bars. Sprinkle lightly with confectioners' sugar.

I make these all the time for guests for family. I use gluten-free flour and coconut sugar and the jam I use is no sugar added. Everybody loves it. It is amazing. I’m glad I found this recipe.

Ick! If I all I wanted to taste is jam- this would be the recipe..Sorry but after making this recipe- the grocery store sells their own version with fresh raspberries 😄 not jam! Fresh is always better

This was so easy and delicious. I served it with a fresh raspberry sauce on the side. They are even better the next day after a good chill in the refrigerator.

So much flavor! These are delicious! Served for a brunch. And versatile- could easily switch out to favorite jam. Going to do apricot next time.

AMAZING!!! My husband is gluten-free so I substituted all purpose flour for Cup4Cup gluten-free flour. I also don’t eat sugar so I used granulated Swerve & Simply Fruit (no sugar added) jelly. This is my new favorite recipe! I used a Pampered Chef small bar pan and it was the perfect size!!!
