I do have some Feelings and Words about Jane Fonda’s hair, which we’ll get to in the slideshow, but: I just love 9 to 5. It’s such a sharply observed comedy, and it will never be out of date even though it is old. We can watch it now, 37 years later –when times have changed quite a bit — and still not only see the truth in it, but recognize that the fight to prove yourself as a woman still exists today even if the way it manifests has morphed and changed. It’s a movie that will be relevant, sadly, forever. So let’s teach our kids the classics.
