The Dancer and DJ was found dead on Tuesday (Dec. 13) with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ (known as DJ tWitch) mother speaks out for the first time following the tragic death of her son.

According to E! News Connie Boss Alexander posted an Instagram story video on Thursday (Dec. 15), thanking friends and supporters during a stressful time period.

"Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers and encouragement," she wrote. "Please know I see all the messages, texts, posts and the phone calls. I can't use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can."

Connie’s Instagram story arrives the day after Stephen’s wife confirmed the news of her husband’s death on Wednesday (Dec. 14).

She shared a statement with E! News:

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him."

The official ruling of the late 40-year-old’s death was listed on the coroner’s website and says he died at a hotel/motel, marking it as a closed case.

Boss’ wife, Allison Holker Boss, rushed into a Los Angeles police station on Tuesday (Dec. 13). She was upset that her husband had left home without his car, an unlikely act by Stephen.

Later, police reported that they received a call reporting a shooting at a Los Angeles hotel. It was there that Boss was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
