Finally! Nearly one month after Nikki and Brie Bella gave birth to their respective children, the twin sisters are introducing their little ones to the world.
On July 31, WWE star Nikki Bella and Dancing With the Stars pro, Artem Chigvintsev, welcomed their first child into the world. A couple of days after his birth, the couple did announce that Nikki and their baby boy are doing well, but beyond that, they kept much about their son a secret from the public.

Meet the Bella Twins’ Babies
One day later, Nikki’s twin sister, and wrestling partner, Brie Bella, and her husband, Bryan Danielson, met their second child for the first time on August 1. They too welcomed a baby boy into the world and also kept much about their son a secret as well.
Now, in an interview with People, both Nikki and Brie are not only sharing the first photos of their boys but also their names. Nikki and Artem named their son Matteo Artemovich. And Brie and Bryan named their son, Buddy Dessert, who joins his 3-year-old sister, Birdie.
“I’ve been up since 3 a.m., but this is what I’ve wanted my whole life,” Nikki told People. “The fact that he’s here — I’m just so in love and happy.” However, she also admits that because Matteo made his way into their lives a week early, she and Artem were “so not ready.”
Due to concerns that Nikki’s high blood pressure would cause complications, doctors wanted to induce Nikki at 39 weeks. Her original due date was August 6. But while she and Artem were at the doctor’s office to discuss being induced, her water broke.
“Artem and I were so not prepared. We barely had bags packed. I labored for 22 hours, and I pushed for two hours while wearing a mask because of COVID-19. It was 118 degrees in Phoenix, and our room wouldn’t get colder than 76 degrees, so I was burning hot the whole time. I had two more rounds of pushing [to go] until my doctor said, ‘You’re going to have to have a c-section.’ I said, ‘No, he’s coming out vaginally.'”

That’s when she looked at Artem and told him to put on music by the Lumineers and she began to push like she never pushed before. “And literally we ‘Hey Ho’-ed and ‘-Ophelia’-ed Matteo into this world. […] I almost tore off the handlebars!”
Brie went on to joke that she was mad her sister went into labor before her as she was already scheduled to have a c-section on August 1. “I was trying to have a VBAC [vaginal birth after a previous cesarean section] because I had an emergency c-section with Birdie, but I forgot I make stubborn babies, and they don’t like to come out,” Brie told People.
“When Matteo came on the 31st, I was like, ‘No matter what, my baby is coming at 9 a.m. tomorrow.’ We didn’t know it was a boy yet. This experience was so different from my last — just to walk into a c-section and be completely alert. When they pulled out Buddy, they put down the curtain, and my husband was like, ‘Oh, I got a boy!’ We were really overwhelmed with joy.”

It was then, after giving birth to their children just hours apart, without either of them asking, that Nikki and Bella were put into hospital rooms right next to each other. And the two cousins got to meet each other for the first time.
And the twin sisters can’t get over just how much Matteo and Buddy have in common. “What’s crazy about Buddy and Mateo is, they both have the same scream-cry,” Nikki revealed. “It’s the cutest high-pitch noise and they’re identical. Even their coos are identical and they’re so cute.”
And because of Matteo’s little grunts and the “perfect little punches” he throws while he is breastfeeding has Artem and Nikki feeling like they may have a future boxer on their hands. Whereas Buddy has an affinity for kicking.
“I actually was really nervous, because everyone’s like, ‘If you have a good baby, you’re going to have a really bad one,'” Brie admitted. “I was like, ‘Well, Birdie was so good. So here comes my wild one.’ He’s calmer than what Birdie was.”

But so far both Matteo and Buddy have been super calm. And neither one of them have their mom’s feisty and wild personalities…yet.
