Harry Potter Star Jessie Cave’s Son is Home after Being Treated for Covid-19

Harry Potter star Jessie Cave had a harrowing week after her young son was hospitalized due to complications from Covid-19.

Thankfully, Cave’s son is now home and recovering. The actress shared an update on her Instagram, saying, “Baby is home now. Thank you for all the well wishes and messages of support.”

“Be safe everybody,” Cave continued. “Amazing care from everybody at Chelsea & Westminster.”

The mom-of-three gave birth to her baby boy Abraham ‘Bam’ Benjamin just two months ago after a quick, 40-minute delivery. After the birth, Bam was in the neo natal unit, but Cave noted he was a “strong boy and it’s the safest place for him right now.”

Just two months later, Bam experienced another health battle after contracting the coronavirus.

“I watched the news about lockdown from an isolated room in hospital,” the Lavender Brown actress wrote after the diagnosis. “He’s okay and doing well but they are being vigilant and cautious, thankfully.”

“This strain is super powerful and contagious,” she continued, “so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks. Really didn’t want this to be the start of my families new year. Really didn’t want to be back in a hospital so soon after his traumatic birth.”

Cove took a moment to thank all of the doctors and nurses at the hospital where her son was treated, as well as her father and brother who are both in the medical profession.

“Once again I’m in awe of nurses and doctors. It makes me even more proud of my brother, a&e doctor @pondermed and my father, king GP @davidlloyd73,” she wrote. “Please wish baby a speedy recovery. He’s 9 lbs 7 now so he’s a stronger and bigger boy than he was when we were last in a hospital room (and the needle went into his hand with louder more powerful screams.) Love and best wishes to everyone.”
