Not Hollywood’s area of expertise. Ryan Reynolds was asked by a fan for marriage advice, and his response was priceless.
“I’m getting married this Saturday. Perhaps misguidedly, I’m seeking celebrity advice on how to keep happy wife/life. Ideas?” a man named Dirk tweeted at the 39-year-old Deadpool actor.
“You’ve come to the right place, Dirk. Celebrities are the gold standard for relationship advice,” Reynolds, who tied the knot with Blake Lively in September 2012, jokingly replied on Twitter. He was previously married to Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011.
The Canadian hunk was likely referring to the long list of A-list couples that have recently split (RIP Brangelina), but Reynolds and Lively, 29, give us hope that love isn’t dead.
Another Twitter user came to the Reynolds page seeking baby advice for his wife going into labor. “Ask your doctor if you qualify for an extension. A 4th, possibly even 5th trimester can be very peaceful for the father. Congrats,” he tweeted.
The Proposal star and the Gossip Girl actress recently welcomed their second child in September. They also share a 21-month-old daughter, James.
Reynolds has gushed about how much he loves spending time with his family. “When I wrapped Deadpool five weeks ago, within an hour — I’m not joking, I still had chunks of glue from the scar makeup on my face,” he told AOL Build. “I was boarding a plane to Bangkok so I could get to my wife and baby right away.”
