Get ready to see your Insta feed bombarded by the Balmain army. The designer is coming out with a makeup line. We mean, it makes total sense—as the not-official but might-as-well-be-official outfitters of Instagram-savvy celebrities like the Kardashians and the Hadids, it was only a matter of time. Best of all, the prices won't even hover around Balmain level (a cool $1,138 for a slashed T-shirt, because luxury). In collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, the Olivier Rousteing–designed capsule collection will hit shelves in early September, the brand told WWD.

Rousteing reportedly has three color themes planned for the 12 new shades in the Balmain x L’Oréal collection. It'll debut pre–Paris Fashion Week, and odds are they'll figure into the Balmain look. In our heart of hearts, we're hoping the themes are based around studs, leather, and PVC. An admittedly unlikely dream, at least based on Balmain's chic, minimalist hair products and tools, but we have hope.

In any case, three cheers that Balmain is about to reach newly affordable prices. The cost is still TBD, but given the drugstore release, we're thinking it'll be more in line with Walgreens than Barneys (likely around this ballpark). Also look out for what they're calling the “jewel edition”—three star shades that'll be sold exclusively in Balmain stores and select retailers. You can bet these will be the ones the model pack will be posing with on Insta.
