One of the most brutal knockouts in MMA took place during the Tuesday Night Contender Series fight between Julian Marquez and Phillip Hawes.
Marquez (6-1 MMA) had Hawes (4-2 MMA) grounded before landing a stiff leg kick to his opponent's face, which resulted in a knockout as shown in the video shared by UFC president Dana White, who called it "the most vicious knockout you will ever see:"
Fortunately, Hawes was conscious and able to stand on his feet after the knockout.
Marquez, also known as "The Cuban Missile Crisis," has won his last four consecutive fights all by knockouts, including a 1:06 victory over Joe Flipp in May.
