Le'Veon Bell spotted at Pittsburgh gym, sends cryptic tweets after report

In today’s episode of “What’s Le’Veon Bell up to now?” we have a Pittsburgh sighting.

The estranged Steelers running back was spotted playing pickup basketball at an L.A Fitness in Pittsburgh Tuesday night, ESPN reports.

Bell spotted in Pittsburgh after saying goodbye to Miami

The report comes two days after Bell tweeted “Fairwell (sic) Miami,” which fueled speculation that Bell was making his way back to Pittsburgh.

It appears that speculation has been confirmed as Bell approaches a deadline to join the Steelers this year. Bell has until next Tuesday to report to the team to maintain his eligibility for the season. If he doesn’t report for the team’s Week 11 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he won’t play in 2018.

No Bell sighting around Steelers

While he was spotted hooping it up with the locals at a gym he is reportedly known to frequent, there have been no reported sightings of Bell around Steelers camp.

Bell has played his holdout strategy close to the vest all season and continues to do so.

Bell’s upside-down tweets

He responded to Wednesday’s report with a pair of cryptic tweets posted in an upside-down font.

Here’s a rough translation:

“Just about everybody has an opinion on my life & worried about what I’m doing. Don’t judge me off my decisions because maybe this isn’t what you’d do. But most people don’t take the time to just simply read between the lines & that’s clearly on them.

“I’m not apologizing for what I believe is right for myself, family and the rest of my peers, period. Also, if you’re really finding the time to figure out what I’m saying, you’ve proved my point.”

The bottom line here remains that we’ll know when Bell signs when and if he signs.

In the meantime, the Steelers will keeping pounding the ball with James Conner, who has tallied 1,085 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns as the Steelers have started the season 5-2-1, good for first place in the AFC North.
