CM Punk should reconsider this UFC bout because he looks so bad training he could get destroyed

The consensus seems to be that CM Punk is in for a rude UFC awakening

Former WWE superstar CM Punk seems to be taking his brash pro wrestling persona with him to the UFC.

He's guaranteeing victory and constantly talking trash ahead of his Octagon debut at UFC 203 Sept. 10.

CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, officially joined UFC in late 2014 and has been training pretty seriously since. There are a couple of problems, though. His opponent, Mickey Gall, is about 13 years younger than him and has two fights under his belt, both of which he's won.

Moreover, video has surfaced of Punk training and many of his UFC peers seem to think he's in over his head. Heavyweight fighter Alistair Overeem, UFC's 3rd-ranked heavyweight, says that while the WWE's Brock Lesnar's foray into UFC was good for the sport, Punk's crossover won't be as well-received.

"He's getting a lot of attention, but I think it's not going to be in his favor," Overeem said Monday via Fox Sports. "His division welterweight, that's a very hard division. To me he's making a mistake. He doesn't know what he's getting himself into. He's talking about 'I want to test myself' and this and that — well, he's going to be tested."

It doesn't take a trained eye to see one thing; speed is not Punk's strong suit. Check the video for yourself.
