Mean Girls fans, rejoice! Almost a year after news broke that the 2004 classic was hitting the stage, we now know exactly when and where its debut will take place: October 31 at the National Theater in Washington, D.C. We've been waiting for these very important details ever since Tina Fey, who wrote the screenplay for the film, first revealed that she was working on the musical last March, but ICYMI, she's been kind of busy with her hit Netflix show, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. However, when the show's star, Ellie Kemper, became pregnant, Fey had the break she needed to get the project going.

We're super excited for it to premiere, and not just because we still watch the movie every Oct. 3. It turns out there's a crazy amount of talent that's making this happen. Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, will compose the score (you've heard his work on 30 Rock), and Casey Nicholaw, who won a Tony for directing the massive hit The Book of Mormon, will take his seat in the director's chair once again. Nell Benjamin of Legally Blonde fame will write the lyrics, and Lorne Michaels, who produced the film, will also produce the musical. Fey put together a serious dream team.

We don't know anything about the casting yet, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, there will be a development workshop for the musical in the spring, so we'll have to wait until then to learn more. We can't wait to find out whether Lindsay Lohan will reprise her role as Cady—and since she's been pushing for a sequel, we're going to keep our fingers crossed that it might just happen.
