Airbus Flying Taxi

The Airbus Vahana is a prototype flying car / taxi that has just completed its first test flight at an airport in Oregon. This Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft boasts wings and tail sections that rotate from vertical to horizontal. Vahana measures 20 feet long and almost 19 feet wide, while offering a projected battery range of 62 miles. You’ll be able to take off and land in small areas such as parking lots or even the rook of a skyscraper. Despite hovering for just a minute in the test, Vahana aims to bring its autonomous flying car to market by 2020. Click here for the first image in today’s viral picture gallery.
