Talk shows have become increasingly like game shows. Just ask Britney Spears, who was just tasked to suck helium from a balloon on The Jonathan Ross Show for promo’s sake. (This isn’t some overseas phenomenon; blame Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, who subjected Morgan Freeman to the same stunt two years ago, at which point the famed actor felt “undignified.”)

During her October 1 appearance, host Jonathan Ross asks her to either sing one of her own songs, or “something we all know.” Britney made the best of the situation by picking Taylor Swift‘s “Shake It Off.”

Funny thing is, this isn’t even the strangest thing that happened during Britney’s appearance. During her sit-down interview, the pop superstar talked about how a friend once set her up with a man who looked so much like “a lizard” that she left. In a surprising move, the Glory singer also spoke publicly about her conservatorship for the first time ever, according to folks in the studio audience.

Whether that revealing moment makes the cut — well, we’ll just have to see. For now, watch Britney (sigh) suck on helium to sing “Shake It Off” below.
