The 2019 Acura ILX has gotten some major updates. Designers have put their touch on the overall cosmetics of the car including changes to the interior while making sure it is still fun to drive. There are several enticing reasons why car buyers should consider purchasing the new ILX. It is currently the least expensive premium car on the market. It comes with an array of tech features and supreme handling for a car of this class. The new sports sedan is very practical and perfect for everyday use. Exterior
The 2019 ILX received an uplift on the front of the car. The Diamond Pentagon Grill stands out and is flanked by the 7-inch LED headlights. LED taillights are also new for 2019. The changes give the car an overall sleeker look. The standard wheels are 17 inches. However, other trims feature 18-inch wheels with a gray finish. The A-Spec model of the ILX presents an air diffuser on the lower front end of the vehicle. The rear also features a diffuser with a polished exhaust tip. There is a black rear deck spoiler that helps the car stand out on the roads.
2019 Acura ILX Interior
The A-Spec model features sport seats that come in multiple colors. The dash is piano black trim with chrome inserts. The display has the traditional split screen. The lower screen is 7 inches and is used for touch-sensitive features. The responsiveness of the screen has improved by 30% according to vehicle manufacturers. The control panel has been simplified to make it more user-friendly. Necessities such as Apple Car-play and Android Auto come standard on every trim of the ILX except the base model.
This new sports sedan is equipped with a standard hand brake and leather-wrapped steering wheel to go along with the leather on the shifter. The lower seating in the new Acura makes the car feel sporty. The moon roof is standard in all trims. There is a tilt/telescopic steering column that provides an adequate range of motion. The driver-side seat is a two-way adjustable power lumbar support with a 2-position seat memory.
Engine & Technology
The 2019 Acura ILX is powered by a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. It puts out 201 horsepower with 180 Nm ft of torque. This is a standard engine that has been a part of Acura automobile manufacturing for many years. Three driving modes allow the driver to use the car in different applications. It can also be shifted into sport mode and used that way on an everyday basis. The paddle shifters give the driver a variety of ways to interact with the car. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission supports these driving activities.
This setup is standard on every ILX. The independent suspension provides a great feel to the steering. The advanced safety technology is standard on every Acura automobile. Common items covered under the system are collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, and lane departure warning.
Fuel consumption
Other significant attributes of a 2019 ILX are its rating of 24 miles per gallon in the city, 34 miles per gallon on the highway, and a combination of 28 miles per gallon miles per gallon on all trims.

Acura refreshed the ILX sedan with redesigned front and rear ends, new interior and exterior colors, restyled sport seats, updated dual infotainment screens, and an updated A-Spec trim. The Acura Watch suite of driver-assist features is now standard.

I love the interiors and the leg room too. The high tech features are awesome, but the feature that really caught my attention was the gas mileage. That car can sure go distances on a gallon of gas!
